The Role
We are looking for a Junior / Mid level Designer with Product, Industrial or CAD Design experience.

Leeda is a major outdoor leisure manufacturer and distributor of fishing tackle products, that has a heritage stretching back over 40 years, servicing the UK and European angling market.

Involved with many of the biggest brands in the UK angling scene, such as MAP and Wychwood, the successful applicant will work alongside the existing team to bring new products to the UK and European market.

Key day-to-day tasks of this role include:

Conducting market research and working with end users to determine design-based solutions that will help grow our brands

Generating and presenting product concepts to the brand management team.

Exploring concepts using tools such as SolidWorks CAD modelling, sketching, physical prototyping and additive manufacturing techniques.

Utilising design validation processes to finalise ideas, prior to production.

Generating accurate specification drawings and 3D CAD files, that can be effectively communicated to our manufacturing partners.

Ongoing communication with manufacturers in managing the successful production of products, during and after product launch.

Generating exciting marketing collateral to promote our brands
This role brings the opportunity to develop products across multiple brands; presenting your finalised ideas and concepts to your colleagues and internal project managers. You will be a part of an experienced and driven team, where your creative input will be vitally important to the company’s success.
The Candidate

Experience working with 3D modelling software (preferably SolidWorks) and Adobe Creative suite (InDesign, Photoshop an Illustrator)

Exploring concepts using tools such as CAD modelling, sketching and physical prototyping

Experience in undertaking design projects from concept stage through to finished product

Knowledge of a wide range of manufacturing techniques including injection moulding and textiles
In addition to the above it would be ideal if you have eExperience working with Key Shot and SolidWorks an excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and a degree in a relevant subject (e.g. product design or industrial design) and of course an interest in angling and/or outdoor recreation!
